The 2019 GLC63 AMG arrived on 98 RON with the familiar complaint: plenty there already, but it feels like the factory left room. Stage 1 unlocks 28 kW and just over 100 Nm without touching hardware, leaning on recalibrated boost control, solenoid behaviour, drive-by-wire mapping, and fuel pump and injector authority. All factory componentry, all well within thermal and fuelling margins for road use.
The result is 303 kW and 644 Nm at the wheels, measured as supplied. Throttle response sharpens noticeably, and the mid-range punch that makes the M178 so satisfying daily gets a meaningful lift without any of the spikiness you'd expect from a lazy boost spike. Clean, repeatable, and still absolutely streetable on pump 98.
Does this tune require any hardware changes?
No. Stage 1 is software-only and works entirely within the factory hardware envelope. All modifications listed are calibration adjustments to existing components.
What's the power gain at the wheels?
28 kW, taking the GLC63 from 275 kW to 303 kW at the wheels. Torque climbs from 542 Nm to 644 Nm.
Is this safe on 98 RON for daily driving?
