CLA45 AMG — Stage 2 ECU & TCU Tune
- Boost control optimization
- Boost solenoid tuning
- Drive-by-wire calibration
- Fuel system optimization
- High-pressure fuel pump tuning
- Injector calibration
- Turbocharger spool improvement
Stage 2 on the M133 platform targets the exhaust restriction first. This 2016 CLA45 came in with an Antz downpipe and frontpipe fitted, plus an intake modification, and the file was written to match the freer-flowing setup. Factory ECU was remapped alongside a transmission tune to handle the extra load.
The dyno run showed 215 kW and 374 Nm at the wheels, up from 202 kW and 292 Nm. The torque gain is where you feel it on the road, and it's a sensible step for a car that'll see closed-circuit use. The TCU tune keeps shift response sharp without pushing the dual-clutch beyond its duty cycle.
Boost wasn't logged on this particular session, but the file is conservative for 98 RON and holds consistent timing under load. A solid result for a factory ECU Stage 2 build.
Does the TCU tune change shift behaviour under normal driving?
The transmission tune prioritises part-throttle smoothness but firms up shifts under load and adjusts torque limiters to suit the new output. Daily driving feels stock until you lean into the throttle.
What's the torque increase doing to the dual-clutch gearbox?
The 82 Nm gain is managed through the TCU tune, which adjusts clamping pressure and shift timing. The dual-clutch in the CLA45 is rated for more than factory output, and this Stage 2 file stays within a safe margin for longevity.
Is this file safe on pump 98 RON in Australian summer heat?
Yes. The file was written conservatively for 98 RON with timing and fuelling built to cope with extended load in warm conditions. No requirement for E85 or race fuel at this output level.
