CLA45 AMG pre facelift — Stage 2 ECU & TCU Tune
- Start/stop disable
- Throttle delay reduction
- Unrestricted throttle opening
- Engine thermal efficiency optimization
- Transmission torque and pressure optimization
- Launch control configuration tuning
The pre-facelift CLA45 AMG responds well to exhaust and calibration work. This 2015 example with the M133 engine picked up 33 kW at the wheels after fitting a downpipe and frontpipe, paired with Phase 2 engine and transmission calibration. Measured output moved from 132 kW to 165 kW, with torque climbing from 260 Nm to 330 Nm on 98 RON.
The TCU file addresses shift pressure and timing to suit the extra load, particularly in the mid-range where the torque rise is most pronounced. Both calibrations are intended for closed-circuit competition use. The factory ECU platform handles the revised fuelling and ignition strategy without drama, and the AWD drivetrain puts the extra output down cleanly once the transmission is calibrated to match.
What supporting hardware is required for Stage 2 on the M133?
At minimum, an upgraded downpipe and frontpipe to reduce backpressure. This example used both, allowing the turbo to work more efficiently and the calibration to make full use of the factory hardware.
Why does this build include a TCU tune?
The transmission calibration adjusts shift points, line pressure, and torque limiters to handle the 70 Nm torque increase and prevent clutch slip or harsh shifts under the revised engine output.
Is this suitable for street use in Australia?
This calibration is supplied for off-road and closed-circuit competition use only. It requires 98 RON minimum and assumes the supporting exhaust modifications are fitted.
