Falcon BF — Stage 2 ECU & TCU Tune
- 65% power increase to 178kW
- 92% torque increase to 348Nm
- Enhanced boost control at 1.25 bar
- Improved exhaust response with burbles and pops
- Optimized fuel delivery and combustion
- Drive-by-wire system refinement
This 2007 BF Falcon came in with the factory naturally aspirated Barra and left as a properly sorted turbo package intended for off-road and closed-circuit use. The workshop fitted a Pulsar ball bearing turbocharger core, full exhaust system, and supporting hardware, then sent the file through for ECU and TCU calibration on the factory platform.
We dialed in boost control and waste gate solenoid behaviour to hold 1.25 bar, then calibrated high pressure fuel pump maps and injector scaling to keep fuelling tight on 98 RON. The result was 178 kW at the wheels, up from 107.7 kW, with torque climbing from 181.6 Nm to 348 Nm. TCU tuning keeps shifts clean under the new load.
The file prioritises driveability and reliability within the limits of the hardware. No drama, just a usable step up from factory.
Why ECU and TCU calibration together on this build?
The factory TCU wasn't designed for 348 Nm. We revised shift pressure, timing, and torque limiters so the transmission doesn't hunt or slip under the new power and torque curve.
Is 1.25 bar safe on the Barra block with these mods?
For off-road and competition use with 98 RON, the supporting fuel system mods and calibration keep it within sensible margins. The ball bearing core helps spool and thermal management.
Can this tune run on 95 RON if 98 isn't available?
No. This file is calibrated specifically for 98 RON. Running lower octane risks knock and engine damage under boost.
