TT 8N — Stage 2 ECU Tune
- 39% power increase
- 42% torque increase
- Improved throttle response
- Enhanced boost control
- Optimized fuel delivery
The BWA 2.0T responds well once you address the factory fuel system limitations. This 8N came through with upgraded injectors and high pressure fuel pump already fitted, along with revised wastegate solenoid control and drive-by-wire mapping to suit the extra airflow.
Stage 2 calibration delivered 98 kW at the wheels, up from 70.5 kW, with torque lifting from 134.6 Nm to 191 Nm. The fuelling headroom made it straightforward to push timing and load targets without leaning out under acceleration. Useful mid-range for overtaking on 98 RON pump fuel, and the factory ECU keeps closed-loop trims stable once everything settles in.
Solid foundation for a responsive street setup that won't need constant nursing.
Why does the BWA need injectors and HPFP upgrades for Stage 2?
The factory fuel system maxes out quickly once you increase boost and timing. Upgraded injectors and a high pressure pump provide the flow and pressure needed to maintain safe air-fuel ratios under load, especially in warm weather.
Is 98 RON sufficient for this power level?
Yes, 98 RON works well here. The tune is conservative enough to avoid knock on pump fuel while still delivering a solid bump in torque and power throughout the range.
What does the wastegate solenoid and boost control change achieve?
It allows finer control over boost delivery and helps hold target pressures more accurately than the factory setup, especially when asking for more mid-range torque.
