This 2016 A45 came in as a complete Stage 3 build for closed-circuit competition use. Supporting hardware included upgraded injectors, a high-pressure fuel pump, wastegate solenoids, and drive-by-wire calibration alongside boost control mapping. The job was to match the factory ECU calibration to the new fuelling and air delivery.
On 98 RON, the car delivered 199 kW at the wheels, up from 147 kW, with torque climbing from 223 Nm to 354 Nm. The gain of 52 kW reflects the full hardware package working together. Factory ECU isn't the typical route for this level of build, but the platform handled the extended fuelling and boost tables without issue.
Calibration focused on AFR stability under load, wastegate duty cycle control, and DBW mapping to keep throttle response clean through the mid-range. Built for the track, not the street.
Can the factory ECU handle Stage 3 hardware on the M133?
