EA888 A4 Quattro Stage 1 with full ECU and TCU calibration

This 2009 A4 Quattro picked up 24.3 kW at the wheels on 98 RON, moving from 86.7 kW to 111 kW, with torque climbing from 252.4 Nm to 313 Nm. The factory ECU and TCU both received attention, with calibration adjustments covering boost control, wastegate solenoid mapping, drive-by-wire response, high-pressure fuel pump duty, and injector scaling.

The TCU tune smooths shift behaviour under the new torque curve and holds gears longer when you're on it. Nothing exotic required—still a bolt-on street file that runs reliably on pump 98. Good result for a B8 platform that responds well to software once the factory conservatism is dialled out.

Common questions
Does this file require any hardware changes?

No. This is a Stage 1 software-only calibration. The modifications listed are ECU/TCU parameters adjusted in the tune itself, not physical components.

Why tune the TCU as well on this platform?

The factory TCU logic doesn't expect the extra torque. Recalibrating shift points, torque limits and pressure maps prevents hunting, early upshifts, and limp mode under load.

Is 98 RON required or can it run on 95?

This file is calibrated for 98 RON. Running 95 will pull timing and you'll lose power and response. Stick with 98 for the result shown.
